Rebecca Misner met The Owl at the Natural Products Expo East hosted in Baltimore in September 2012. She loved the story behind The Owl and interviewed Akshata for a feature on the Martha Stewart Living blog for the American Made Series. That interview has since been taken down, but here is a snapshot of the introduction.
Rebecca also recommended that The Owl participate in the American Made Awards hosted by Martha Stewart Omnimedia every year. And The Owl did in 2013! Here is The Orange Owl in the American Made Awards - we made it to the TOP TEN in our category which was exciting for a small handmade business.
